Graeme Wood DJ - Lighting Rig

A video taken during a promotional photoshoot of my lighting rig that I use for larger discos.

Lighting rig consists of:
6m Truss on winch stands
6m x 4m LED starcloth
6 x Pilot 150 Moving Heads
3 x 3 colour lasers
2 x Triclops LED lighting effects
1 x LED DJ Booth
1 x Bluelight PC DMX Controller
1 x 24 Channel DMX controller

Great rig man, you may want to master/ slave the lasers though.

You can never have too many lasers..... I have 7 RGB lasers I mount on a frame connected in master/ slave mode with the master on sound activation. It works fantastic, a kind of poor man's laser show. I also have a dual violet and a single violet, a green and red, a single green, a green and 450nm blue, a single 450nm blue and a twinkling laser.

If I could, I would have only lasers with propper DMX software.

No money for software :(

@MegaBitfreak Originally the show was set up just to grab some stills for my website but once I had finished I thought I would just have a play and put on a show on the fly - nothing there was pre programmed. Since taking the video I have upgraded the lasers and am now running them with ILDA software - DMX is useless for lasers, too slow and not flexible enough. I am in the process of videoing a lot more shows and will have some videos of my new rig ready in a couple of months

I've got to say I always try and have the best set-up and for what I charge I don't think you'll find anything better, but this is amazing, much more of what I am after. I bet this takes a long time to set-up though, either way seriously impressive though mate.

Looking at the video are there 6 or 8 moving heads? I am pretty certain I can see 6 on the truss and 2 on either side of the DJ table

very very nice lighting you have...shame it was 6 mins of the same song(not hating ) just happen to think had you mixed a few tracks in the show it would of not let down what is clearly the best lighting vid on YT....best of luck sir !!!

@abraentertainments Unfortunately my lasers only have a single ILDA port each which means that it becomes expensive to run 7 of them off ILDA. I'm pretty ok with the preprogrammed effects and dmx control will give me just enough extra options without breaking the bank. I will go with ILDA later on but to do animations for weddings etc. You have a great rig though, I love it ;-)
