John McCormack sings "Macushla" for Victor in 1911. One of McCormack's earliest Victor recordings. He sounds much lighter and brighter than his later electrical recordings of this song, and there's a lovely high note in the end - in fact, McCormack's highest voice ever recorded - which was lacked on two later recordings.
Played on my Victor J1-50 machine with Electrola No.2 mica soundbox and AKG-1200B microphone.
Best song ever, I picked to sing this song for the choir finals solo and won :D

Excellent sound quality (though I'm no technical expert). And, of course, no other tenor sings Macushla with such beauty as John McCormack, including McKellar, White, Locke, Crooks, and so on. Thanks for posting!
