History has a strange way of repeating itself with many American born prodigies of traditional R&B or Jazz. Billie Holiday is perhaps one of the best models of this. We too often fail to embrace and support home talent and they move on to open arms of strangers. Can't blame the artists, I know the feeling.

Of course - in a foreign country. Why does Europe and Asia etc. appreciate some of our incredible talent who are seldom heard from here in the US?

I saw Oleta Adams in concert in 1991, and she had one of the best bands I had ever seen. She is fantastic!
