2 homes were destroyed when flames jumped from one home to another. The three story wood-frame homes are located at Grinnell and South 2nd streets in New Bedford, Massachusetts. According to WPRI-TV, the New Bedford fire chief says that a third home caught fire at one point although firefighters were able to protect the building from any major damage. Two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion at a local hospital and later released.
@324sandra So sorry to hear of your loss, yet thankful to hear that everyone got out safely... that's the most important thing, especially when a fire happens at night like that.

92 Grinnell was my home, I lost everything along with the young family on the first floor! We were all sleeping! We were lucky to get out. This fire did not happen by it's self, someone out there knows something! You could have killed all of us!
