I am so pleased that Madonna got Mercy James. I was raised in Malawi and speak, read, and write the language of Chichewa. I know the desperation of children in orphanages. Don't be fucking ridiculous. Madonna visited Malawi because it was one of the poorest countries in the world and has more problems than most African areas. Madonna met many families and directed a documentary about the town before she even met the first child she adopted, David, a boy who at the time was at risk for death. She fought for years to adopt him. It's so hilarious when a celebrity actually works hard to help someone, everyone just hates her more.
