I'm spanish, We always have sung: "Dios guardó del lobo a nuestra cordera". It means: "God protected our lamb from the wolf".
Thought, King's singers are great, no matter what they say... ;)

@jodiebug1 well... that's funny, protect the wolf from the lamb... I don't speak Spanish unfortunately and it sounded better to me "de" infact it's a.... lobo-re-nuestra the "a" would break the fluence of the verse... we did it because it's a carol and interesting... I don't quite know it's translation.... thank you for the good advice.

@hugedell I hope you sang "Deus guarde el lobo a nuestra cordera," because, the way they're singing it, it means "God protect the wolf from the lamb." I agree that "de" sounds better, though, which is probably why most rendtions have it that way.

Thank you for posting this, a great song, great help for me also, I have to sing it by Christmas and it helps me with everything... to pronunce, how to interpret every sound, it's a littile short, I have all 7 verses on my sheet but no thanks, I'm afraid I'm gonna break my tongue...:-S
