    I just asked my friend who gave it to me. He doesnt know what it is.

    It was rescued out of an industrial rubbish skip.

    We just tested it. It bend and could be moulded with heat. So it was used.

    Sorry i couldnt be any more help to you.

    No vinyl and Kydex are very different. Kydex is very forgiving. It will soften alot befor any serious damage occurs to the plastic. Vinyl will not behave the same way. It will pretty mush fall apart or just melt away or distort. Kydex was originally used for Aircraft Interior applications and mouldings. As your in the states you can get it from any good knife supply stores online.
