I disclose a simple detail that makes using a metal cutting hole saw to cut wooden rounds with a drill press work much better. This is an update to an earlier video where I showed using hole saws on the drill press.

  • That is slick as can be! Sweet idea man!

I have 2 General Tools circle cutters I use, a heavy duty and economy (the economy cuts a much smaller hole). I have an adapter bushing to use a smaller drill bit in the center (my Dad is a machinist) that is sized to match a round toothpick.

I use a center drill to mark where I want the hole, then use the circle cutter to cut the blank. And since there is only one cutter, it doesn't clog and is easy to keep honed absolutely razor sharp.

  • @kenny474 Thanks for the comment and also for sharing your solution. I love to have other ideas to work with.

  • What do you use for glue?

  • @MrLeonard55 I use Titebond II for most of my work.

  • Excellent idea! Makes binding virtually nonexistent with a hand drill. Much faster too.

  • Great Idea

  • OK, Thanks
