  • Hi Dave!! Im seriously considering buying the ypg-535! The only thing i just wanna for sure verify with you is that i will be able plug this into my interface thats plug into my computer and record with pro tools?!! Im very very interested in the 535!! Is there really any huge difference between the ypg-535 and the dgx-640? All im really gonna do is use the grand piano setting! Thanks Dave! Hope to hear from you soon so i can make a purchase! :)

    Hi,

Thanks for your interest. You can definitely plug the YPG535 into your audio interface. You'll use the phone output (1/4 inch stereo) and a splitter cable...plugging into two 1/4 inch line inputs on your interface. You'll need speakers connected to your interface, because plugging into the phone jack mutes the 535's on-board speakers. Main Difference between the two: DGX640 has weighted keys, YPG535 has non-weighted.

  • Hi Dave. Prospective buyer. Was wondering your thoughts on how it sounds plugged into a p.a.? I've heard that there is no true line out and that it would have to be connected through the headphone jack which may cause static or noise....Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for your interest in the YPG635. This instrument sounds great when plugged into a PA system. You are correct, the instrument does not have dedicated line outs so you'll need to use the headphone jack. I haven't found this to introduce any static or noise to the signal...in fact, you are hearing the phones jack in this video. Please keep in mind, the YPG635 has been replaced with the newer DGX640. Thanks for watching!

  • @bamaboymusikluvr Have you been able to use you piano as a midi on your mac yet? Because if you haven't message me. I'm also using this piano on my mac

  • @kraftmusic Is this good for beginners? Also, does it show notes on the screen when you're playing? Please reply, because we're planning on buying a piano Sept. 16th or 17th. Thanks.

  • Hello. This piano taught me to play Maple Leaf Rag! I really like the song lesson feature, it works for me. I'm wondering if there's a way to download more songs and have them function in the song lesson feature also. I want to play The Entertainer!
