EDIT: This was the first film I made after being sent overseas to Iraq for over a year. I also sold my HPX170 and switched to a DSLR after I made this.

After a virus wipes out most of humanity, the rest do what they can to survive by mugging and stealing from the rest. Real human nature comes out.

$0 Budget

Shot on a HPX170
Edited in Adobe Premiere
Special Effects done in Adobe After Effects

  • Nice job. What mic did ya' use?

  • @pilotwes247 I used an Audio Technica AT875r shotgun mic, I highly recommend it.

  • @MrKlay what was the preface? does the virus kill for no reason or does it make zombies? why are they carrying guns if there are no zombies? why did he kill that dude? was he infected?

  • @ahoop14 *SPOILER* In the Intro it hints to how the virus acted. Only a small percent were immune to a fatal virus. They carried weapons to defend themselves against the people who would take what they wanted by force. The antagonist killed the kid to try and test to see if the sniper had the guts to pull the trigger. No zombies in this one, although you can bet I'm going to do one with zombies in it in the future. Thanks for watching.

  • First, when making a movie, everything must go with the flow to the minds and emotions of the audience which you must foresee and decide how will you compose your script, plot, environment, theme and story... These was supposed to be a BOOM if you just did it right...

  • @pusilnilapulapu123 absolutely, and I wish I could of used the script that I had or made a script using less actors. Gorilla filmmaking is fun, but I still would rather stick to a script.

  • @DillenB93 after my actors didnt show and I only had about 5 hours to film, I wasn't expecting it to turn out spectacular, I did the best with what I could. I've learned from it and have improved.

  • really pretty but horrible acting

  • why does this only have 14,000 views it was awesome! And the actors weren't that bad.

  • He is such a pussyxD

  • I don't think that anyone realises that these are actually real present places they use. The abandoned wal mart, the broken signs, and the dead grey trees. Save the world, Americans.

  • that was actually very good. haha it had me suspensed. I liked it. The acting was just eh but I read that your actors didnt show and thats understandable. Really all I can fault you on is the sound fx and the special effects. other than that, its great.

  • this is nice...i recently made a post apocalyptic short film myself with the canon t3i. check it out!

  • This film didn't make any sense. Nice opening. Bad acting. I heard "come on" every five seconds. Music was good. Work on your audio and gun sfx. lol

  • this is amazing, you really get the sense of how in the post apocalyptic time, social structure has changed, considering the guy shot the friend and the sniper went with him.

  • this was really good, but i suggest adding some dirt to them so it doesn't look like they just got out of the shower. after all this a story in an post apocalyptic setting.
