I lived in CT almost my whole life, in Lisbon and My uncle lived in Ekonk, we used to drive over this road and I never seen any ghosts.I believe in ghosts though.

It looks like Hell Holllow isn't haunted. Eileen McNamara did a story for a local paper, The Day, in 2003 ("A Time Of Tales And Hauntings In Hell Hollow"). She interviewed relatives of Maud's family and someone from a local historical society. She also looked at town records. The article pretty much debunked the haunting stories. Hell Hollow probably got its name from the poor soil in the area; the rocks made it very difficult to farm there.

Hi! Thanks for the comments (and that goes for everyone). We've been on a long hiatus (computer problems and life seem to have gotten in the way) though we're working on finishing the piece. We're also considering revising the format a little and bringing UnhauntedCT to metacafe

hey, I drove down this road tonight (Hell Hollow), coming from the other end of the state just to see it, pretty creepy road, but didn't know what to look for...was curious if this was a trailer to some kinda documentary or film that I could get my hands on, thanks
