Mac vs PC: Safari 4 is Boring? Just Look at IE8!

My random rant on Microsoft's new promotion for IE8.

IE8 really is pathetic though, I can't believe that the favorite sidebar is still there.

Its worth pointing out that to get google searches from the search bar, you have to install an ad-on. That guarantees that 80% of all PC users can't figure it out, and for good reason, you have to go through your preferences, click on search bar options, click the tiny text that says "Find more online," (Not intuitive) then browse the many ad-ons available for download until you see google, then click install.

All that just to use google instead of live search in IE8. What a lame excuse for a browser, Microsoft shouldn't even create an IE9, they should save themselves the time and money that will only create a half assed slow and ugly browser.

IE8, what a joke.

@MrNumeroid Yeah it does not work like that apple only makes drivers for the keyboard etc, the other driver for video, chipset, wireless, etc are from the official manufacturer's you run windows update it will update it to EG the latest intel HD 3000 driver

@JoelB3783 The only time a program crashes on me is when I try to close it (still rarely ever happens) but I don't really care because it asks if I want to close it because it's not responding so does that even count?

Besides, the only programs that actually crash like that are Steam games... speaking of gaming, Windows is the king there.

@MrNumeroid i have yet to have an app crash, but that is my experience like you have not had a BSOD in a while. WIne is fine for me, i have not experienced any slow down. But windows goes shit crazy on me. OS X just works for me, and i love the aqua interface.

@JoelB3783 "list of app's"? It doesn't change the fact that they are buggier over all and will never get the performance desired, and Parallels/VMWare causes performance loss too, seeing as they're both virtual machine programs.

The last BSOD I had was about 6-7 years ago.
