Much like Batman Begins, this short takes a look at the humble beginings of Ted Kord as he becomes the 2nd Blue Beetle. And unlike the his comedic portrayal in the comics, this film shows The Blue Beetle in a more serious, competent and plausible tone.

Hmm. A Blue Beetle movie/tv series would be sweet, but why change his personality? There are a zillion "grim n gritty" heroes. His light-heartedness is a big part of what makes his character stand out. In some ways he's almost DC's answer to Spider-man...
