@randyrox69 go to a camping store and you can find it in a solid bar used for fire starting. get some medium-fine sand paper and start sanding it down. you also can order it online
why not use a remote fuse instead? with a couple modifications of relay devices I can trigger flash powder while looking at it through binoculars and a remote control. Anytime your working with exploding objects with a potential shrapnel hazard its always better to do it as far away as possible. Its cool to blow stuff up, but safety first!
Although it's unlikely, using a sparkler could set off explosives early due to the burning iron sparks, one single spark could set badly made explosives off so be careful
