I saw the miniseries and it was so good that I read the novel. Both the miniseries and the novel are far better than this movie was. The pacing was uneven and the editing seemed a little off to me.

I think that most of the people that profess to like this movie so much just do so to feel or sound sophisticated. Just keep patting yourselves on the back for being more intelligent than those dumb Americans. Meanwhile I will go and watch a movie that is actually entertaining.

of course the Americans dint like it!, because there is no US military fighter jets bombing on half robot half living being things, & or an american fighter pilot shooting down a russian , korean & chinese + the whole of the Arab worlds fighter jets all at the same time....

The movie is odd. When I first saw it I immediately checked a plot summary to make sure I understood it correctly. However, I think it is brilliant, because there is a constant sensation of paranoia and you missing something, which make you think and watch this movie again. You need a lot of attention though, so it is not for anyone.

Most americans dont really get into movies that make you think. This was a really good movie, you just needed to be able to think about something for more than half an hour. British films are almost always so much better than american ones, they have more than just cool effects and hot guys.
