@alexpfefferdotnet OK thanks, I'll look for them. I have seen Cinebrass on YT and they sound fine. I added an extra 8GB so with 12GB I'm hungry for horns ,) Also I wonder if putting sections into Logic folders could be a way to manage arrangements. cheers

@MrFilmComposer you're welcome! usually i apply reverb on busses/groups of the individual sections (such as strings, brass etc). I don't like working with sends and returns. not sure why, but i dont like to have the signal on an individual fx track.

Thanks for the clear explanation, and great video.
Q: Do you apply the reverb to stems or individual tracks? (i.e. do you send to a reverb aux stereo track?) Does that really matter?
Great video. I am a PT8 user on a PC and I am always looking at way to improve my template. Right now I am only limited to 32 instrument tracks so that causes problems right there but I am looking at either sonar or cubase as my composing DAW and route my midi's audio to PT8 to edit the audio and layer with video for film scoring. I guess I would like to know if bidule would be a good choice for me as well as whether or not cubase or sonar would be better for midi composition? Thanks.

@TheDarris Hey ,not sure where it is mentioned in the video, but I just used Bidule for having some extra 2GB of memory. Since everything is almost 64bit anyway, there would be no need to use it - at least personally for me! Currently if needed, I use VSL Ensemble 3

Hi I use Logic instruments only but there are some that aren't usable I think. Logic hasn't got any real dramatic horns like Hans Zimmer. The french horns available are small, dry and without dynamics. The oboe isn't usable either. Have any idea where to get single instruments instead of buying whole orchestra libraries? How much RAM do you need to get your set-up working? It looks kinda loaded

@rawstarmusic Hey, for Horns you might check out ProjectSAM, VSL Epic Horns or wait for Cinebrass or EW Brass. During the time I did the tutorial, I think I had 8GB in my Mac.

Very interesting! Did you do some other videos about the same subject? I m using templates in Logic 9 with 12 Go RAM too and I m using Miroslav Philharmonik. Do you Know it and what do you think about it?

@mymusic1237 hey, this is the only one regarding logic, i did many others (check my yt channel) but they are more about cubase or general stuff. yes i know miroslav, quite a cool lib but very outdated. if you compare with hollywood strings, lass or symphobia - it cant stay up with it. but nevertheless, it is not the lib which makes sound but the guy in front of the monitor! :o) cheers!
