Meanwhile, in the Gore cave, his lifestyle has only changed cosmetically, he's still a hypocrite and con artist. The theory of AGW should give us pause, influence our environmental policies and consumption standards. But fuck that, if you can drive the herd into a panic there's millions to be made!

the only data I've seen where the temps have risen comes from land based data and that's grossly tainted by city heat island effect

the satellite record says something completely different and the planet did indeed warm by 0.7C from 1980 to 2005, but after that we see cooling and at this exact moment we are almost dead even with no warming at all

so now you see alarmist change the focus from warming to just change

covered both ways with this new alarmism

Great question: which requires the obvious question..

    What big climate changes?

Because there are none. The worst droughts were in the 1930s. The worst hurricane ever was in 1901.

What we experience is normal weather. And weather can be extreme. Any time we have a storm, fire, drought, flood (earth quakes even) it is blamed on global warming.

Mankind is always prone to forge the past and think everything in the present is the biggest or most important event ever.

I partially pick the side of the scientists. However what affects me more is logic, greenhouse effect makes the earth warm. Increase the greenhouse gases equals more warmth.

If the temperature hasn't risen in the last 30 years, where does the big climate changes come from? According to the stats I've seen the temp has been rising.

So you pick the side where scientists are paid to produce something to justify their grants?

30 yrs ago you couldn't get a degree in climatology because it didn't exist.

Now its big money. The satellite records shows no warming at all since 1980.

It is clear that climatologists have been exaggerating data to get funding

This is the problem with global warming. One side says one thing, the other says the other. Both have statistics. So you'll have to answer, which side should I pick? I choose the one with 9/10 scientists, 99% of the world's climatologists, Stephen Hawking, Nasa.
