This four-week program is designed for students who wish to experience concentrated exposure to exceptional ballet training in New York City. Students interested in being considered for the year-round EB-PTP are strongly encouraged to attend this program. The curriculum affords an excellent opportunity to greatly improve technical skills, develop greater self-awareness and gain a deeper understanding of individual artistic potential. Students learn from the highly-effective teaching methodology of Master Teacher Edward Ellison and his esteemed faculty and benefit from exposure to international guest teachers. They come away with greater strength, precision, confidence and knowledge -- ultimately experiencing the power and poetry of the art that is ballet.
Daily classes are held Monday through Friday in classical ballet technique and pointe and variations for the ladies, with separate men's classes focused on building and refining the required power, stamina and masculinity of the male dancer. Regular classes are also held in pas de deux, character, contemporary dance and conditioning.
