  • This is the only footage i can find of the 1971 STP Modified Sports Car Chapionship. My father Malcolm Sears is in the Red ex works Sunbeam Tiger(AHP 295B) which was destroyed one month later in a firey accident at Oulton park. At this time he was was leading the class with 66pts from Peter Archer(E Type)33pts and Brian Murphy(E TYPE) 24pts. I believe Brian Hough won the overall championship in 71 with his 3lt TVR. Anymore Modsports Roy? Many thanks for this.

  • The only films I made in England are Brands 1971 and 72 (2 filmed meetings in 72), Oulton 1972 , Silverstone 71, Crystal Palace 71 and 72, Thruxton 1970 try and search as I can't remember them all.

  • Great stuff once again Roy. Thank you soo very very much for sharing this climpse back in time.

  • Clubmans ?Unusual singleseaters with a sort of wheelarches at the rear axle....

Can smo kindly post a few infos about

    them ? Thx. !

  • thx again for a great vid.

dave brodie was just about unbeatable around this period.

great to see the minis coming round 4 abreast!

  • This is really interesting to see what Mallory was like many years before I was born. My Father is from leicestershire and went here very often when he was younger, but has no photographic or video record of it, so it's very interesting to see just how much it's changed. Nice footage too, of course.
