tap it now and then do what? Refill it when the price goes even higher? It is not called the summer vacation drive oil reserves, it is called the strategic oil reserves. What happened to all the talk of shared sacrifice. How about cancelling the long drives in the summer, go vacation at local places. Europe pays 2x what we pay for gas. If the US cant pay at the pump, then develop alternative energy. Dont sell out our reserves cause people are cryinb about gas prices. Gees, grow a pair!

No, no, no! Gasoline prices should remain where they are. The people need to get used to paying more. How else are we going to encourage more efficient construction, industry, habits, and city planning?
Come on, show some foresight for goodness sake!
