Taiwan has alot of economical ties with China and Taiwanese need to continue to trade with them if they wish to prosper.

i agree with you, china has no claim over taiwan. the island was ruled by the japanese before taiwan ruled itself and then CKS and the kuomintang came over in 1949. china has had no part in taiwan's sovereignty so its claim is simply to take over taiwan's prosperous economy!!
