You're 100% spot on, after it came down to just having the Nurahiyamon re-spawning over and over I came inches away from putting a fist through my monitor while yelling "F**KING STAY DEAD!!!" repeatedly. Seriously if you're going to spend over a years worth of manga releases essentially fighting the one alien, that fucker better be worth 100 points, just so you can have an easy Deux Ex Machina to bring back your friend who probably shouldn't have died to begin with
