  • there is another book that goes deeper than lerouxs done by susan kay

called the phantom it goes more into Eriks child hood which was the phantoms name till his death in the opera house but as for the movies this was one of the better ones i have seen besides Lon Cheneys phantom of the opera in 1929 kudos to ya for this

  • @Tyler193 Well, Susan Kay's book, as well-written as it is, is really just a published fan fiction. Considering it was written years after Leroux's novel, it's not the real story of Erik. I mean that in the sense that it didn't really uncover any real history behind the story, for those who believe Erik lived; it wasn't a real telling of the "real" Erik's life.

  • I have this documentary on the Claude Rains DVD. What the hells going on with Scott McQueens hands at the beginning?

  • Hahaha, OMG, you're right! I never noticed that before! It's like he's trying to do a dance to his lines or something.

  • Susanna Foster passed away yesterday. She was 84 years old.

  • I can't believe it. I didn't hear about until I read your comment just now. Wow. I mean, considering her age (she lived a long life) it was bound to happen soon, just, wow, it seems so sudden. She was beautifully talented and did a great job as Christine. My condolences to her family.

  • @crawfordfanatic The Phantom Reviewer is entering Season 4 of his reviews very soon. You should check out his review for Brian DePalma's Phantom of the Paradise on Blip.

  • LOL, the little intro with the Box 5 reference cracked me up :)

  • Carla Laemmle is still alive, at the age of 100! She is the only surviving member of the original 1925 cast. I send her love and best wishes!
