Thanks for this video...someone was getting rid of 4 large stumps...after seeing your video I went after them and....they are on my fire wood pile!!!! I did one thing different...I used an 8 pound axe. It works better for me. I am about 6'4" and that size axe feels right. Thanks again man!!!

I just finished beating the shit out of some 10" ash which I cut down last week. I used a 8" maul and god damn some of those were tough. Do you dry ash before splitting it?

Put some muscle on your feeble bony arms and do some real work for once, you might feel better. But then again you might put your back out or get a heart attack... so leave it to the rest of us. Bunch of wimps.

It was a big old ash tree. I use a "wood grenade" now. Goes much faster that way.
