It's not that confusing. The only part that may be confusing you, is that he doesn't have the software links in his comment. DOSFLASH should automatically open when selected, though I haven't tried it yet. Dumping and writing to it should be simple, as shown. But, I can't find any iXtreme firmware that will work. They all come up invalid. I need help with that.

That's why you don't use iCrap, you make your own dos boot disk and place dosflash on it

i cant get it... no matter how much times i restart the drive, the status continues to blink... i cant get it to go to 0x73..

hi there, i have one question, i was searching for "how to flash optical drives" and got here, so i have a unused DVD player from Mustek, opened it up and found somekind of a regular pc cd/dvd drive with IDE interface..

I noticed it has 2 lens, so i tryied to connect it to the pc but windows didnt recognized it.

So i was wondering if there is any firmware/updater to flash this drive so windows could recognize and use it..

i have been told you dont need to use dos. and you only need to use jungleflasher

After you flash your xbox, can you play a downloaded game that is burned onto a dvd ?
