Eric John "With You" Original Divorce Song

This original song that I wrote was my first solo home studio recording. It was recorded on a Zoom 8-track recorder with a MXL V 69 tube condenser mic. I only used 4 tracks with only vocals and acoustic guitar. I wrote this song a little over a week ago and I trashed it. I thought I would pull it from the trash basket and use it for my first practice solo recording. I wouldnt have saved this song if it wasnt for a friend lifting my hope as a songwriter, I even was thinking about giving up on songwriting and deleting my channel, Im glad I didnt. Thanks buddy ;)




I want to dedicate this song to the people that feel alone in a relationship or the seperated or divorced. I can relate what you are or have gone through and my heart goes out to you. Your not alone. Things get better, trust me, keep your head up, look for love and one day it will find you, love heals all wounds :)

Things do get MUCH better... I think we know that from experience... It's been a long while since I first heard this song, Eric... I had to come back to it... Even though things have gotten miraculously better, it's still sad to feel the emotion of that divorce experience...
