I am in that same situation right now. My church doesn't have a clue what or how a guitar fits into the music. As such, I'm an outcast there. How did you even get your church to understand or respect the role of a guitar. Most "Black" churches are ignorant when it comes to this.

Yeah I used to play guitar in a Church where we were the only white Family. I really miss it sometimes, we had to leave though because we kind of had some doctrinal disagreements. All of the other musicians were the pastor's kids and they could play organ and piano like it was second nature. I spent most services just trying to keep up. I was actually worse of a player then than I am now (if you can believe that.)

I've been playing for about 2 years and at my church they gets DOWN!!! and at the time I'am the only lead player and I need some help for when they praise GOD!!!! so whenever you find time hook a brotha up. YO skillz is CRAZY!!!
