I herd Invader ZIM is on DVD because another company got permission from Nickelodeon to make the DVD's. When Zim made a lot of money, Nick decided not to let any other company distribute their shows. Typical. Too bad it was cancelled; it was essencially the last good Nick show.

Yes there is an online petition that I found just earlier today for the release of Pete & Pete Season 3. I signed it, and I was the 3,560th person to sign. The high demand for Season 3 just makes this better.

I really think Spongebob is a good show - it´s just that it´s pretty much alone. Stephen Hillenburg worked on Rocko´s Modern Life for a while before he created Spongebob, and you can see that in the humor I think.

For what it's worth, Spongebob is a decent show with some good moments. It's deffinately not enough to say Nick is a decent channel but still. The movie was funny. Rocko's Modern Life though is one of my favorite Nicktoons ever; damn you Nick for axing thr Rewinf Collection. I've bitched waaaay too much about this but it's agrivating as hell.

You probobly know this but Tom Kenny, who voices Spongebob, also voiced Heffer on Rocko. I would have never guessed thay were the same person but still.

Yeah Tom Kenny did a few voices on Rocko -- you should check him out in Mr. Show too.

Interesting story (abridged version): 4 years ago, I actually met the actress behind the character Ellen (the lovely Alison Fanelli) in Ocean City. I bought her an Ice Cream cone and we walked around for a while and hung out..got to tell her I had a crush on her as a kid, and asked her out. Don't know if she was being kind or not, but she laughed and said, 'If I didn't have a boyfriend, I'd consider it'. Damn. Double damn.  I could have dated my childhood crush. :-/

Here's the sad truth

Paramount, as you pointed out, is owned by Viacom, a business that strives to make money

The problem is if something doesn't make certain expected sales, they drop it

It's stupid and cruel, but it's business...

However, you make a good point, "We can't get it, and you don't want us to download it"

Well, I feel that if the company doesn't provide the product by purchase, we as the consumer have the RIGHT to take it by any means necessary

Maybe that might change their minds

You have no idea how excited I am about Pete and Pete. I just found out that there are actual seasons on dvd and it rocked my socks off. When I was watching it as a kid it was in the late 90s so they were just re-runs but I remember how just AWESOME the show was. This news that they won't be producing season 3 upsets me because I have been ranting for years about how everything from my childhood was so much cooler than the crap that is out today. It's sad that kids programming isn't what it was.
