Not really but it helps to have some previous knowledge of AutoCAD. I have learned to use 3dMax on my own with some books that can be found almost at any bookstore. Im far from being an expert, Im still on the path of learning. If you need a mesh (3d archive), any tip or something, give me a call... have a nice new year 2009.
