This is the first half of the video showing the split in the woods where the fibre is put in a box in the stable and two connections of fibre come out of it to go to two homeworkers. This project has been made possible by donation of fibre from Guy at fibrestream and inspiration from both him and Lins. The star of this show has to be Dave, who fused the fibres and lit up the first rural jfdi fibre to the home project in the UK. In Lancashire. Dave is a partner with John at LUCID. Also thanks to Lance at Opetch Fibres who located the media conversion kits at very short notice for us. We decided to JFDI on Monday and the fibre was lit on Wednesday.
I do so love all this actually happening! And the fact that the industry bodies are coming up a marginally different approach to the problem which looks like it could well shut up all those who ahve been ahrping on about how impossible it will be to do rural areas.
Look guys, it can be done and Chris etc have JFDI!
