How to blend two images together so that it looks like a Hollywood movie poster. Here we cover the use of the canvas size command, add a layer mask, use a hue and saturation adjustment layer, and add some text with a drop shadow layer style to complete the effect.

  • is this good for gimp as wel?

  • Gimp is usually on par with more standard things in PS like layers and masks, so yes, I believe you can do the same, but the tools/menus might be slightly different.

  • how come when i use the gradient (exactly like your) it didn't come out like that 3:38? the 1st layer just become darker

    help please

and i love how you explain thing

  • tearsneverdrop,

Make sure you have your gradient set as "foreground to background" and your foreground color is black.
