  • Wtf are you talking about retard, Sepultura influenced Korn, not the other way around. Nu metal kiddies really need to learn their music history. Sepultura was one of the first bands to introduce groove metal, which in turn later evolved in the mallcore crap that it known today as nu metal. Korn is one of those bands. Max Cavalera is a metal god, jackass. Without him Korn would probably not even sound like they sound today. Moron.

  • Mader is a funky man

  • max knows good spanish!

  • @DGYDP so much hate... :|

  • If it weren't for Stone Sour, I'd love to see Roy Mayogora back behind the kit for Soulfly again.

  • @DGYDP not really. they influened each other. if YOU know your music history and you were around at the time you should probably remember that before korn, sepultura and everybody else sounded different. palm muted riffs and all that. also, you should show some respect imo, even max does, jon davis was a special guest on roots. I followed sepultura since "beneath..." and korn from the very beginning, I know exactly what I'm talking about. so please, for god's sake stop spreading the hate.

  • this is probably my favourite line up of soulfly, mader, roy and max brilliant!

  • ATTITUDE, UN HIMNO PARA TODOS LOS METALEROS DE SUDAMERICA. SOULFLY Y SEPULTURA, SON LO MEJORR DE LEJOS.

  • @Xdeath606metalX Well, I guess the "soul" of the music in Soulfly is different then at the start. Also, Max does write a lot of the lyrics for Soulfly, same in Sepultura. I guess the frontman(or frontwoman) of every band directs the rest of the band in his(or her) , be it directing, overarching control, or sitting back etc.

  • @RedKnightTheGreat I meant soul as in the actual force of music they're playing, but you are right, Max is the Soul in Soulfly. I really don't mind the Ozzy routine (Chuck Schuldiner did it with Death), it's just that different artists have different methods of expressing music. What Max does in Soulfly is more of a collective songwriting process where as with Ozzy it is more of him directing the crew, heck his name is even the band's name. Besides, "Maxxy" would sound pathetic, and "Chucky???"

  • @Xdeath606metalX Um, isn't Max the Soul in Soulfly? Soulfly is and always has been Max and assorted others. And Max is okay with what Rizzo does as Rizzo, Joey (Nunez) and Max are an effective unit. At least Max isn't going the Ozzy route(no offense to the Ozzman) and changing the band with every other album.
