As a Matter of Law: Pleural or Peritoneal Mesothelioma -- Interview of Five Year Survivor Watch as Gary White, mesothelioma survivor of 5 years, talks about his story with co-host Robert Komitor, a mesothelioma attorney. Gary White was diagnosed with mesothelioma and given only 6 months to live. During initial mesothelioma surgery, Gary had a 14 pound mass removed. Mesothelioma support groups can assist with victims and their families.
There are two types of mesothelioma: pleural mesothelioma involving the membrane surrounding the lungs and peritoneal mesothelioma involving the membrane surrounding the abdomen. Mesothelioma symptoms can include chest pain, shortness of breath, weight loss, gastrointestinal discomfort, bloating, diarrhea, and irregularity.
Living with mesothelioma requires support from family and friends.
Mr. Komitor, the co-host of this segment, is a mesothelioma attorney who has represented people with pleural and peritoneal mesothelioma for more than two decades.
