Never before seen footage of the one-of-a-kind Good Luck Charlie Brown Atari 2600 Prototype. Originally planned as part of the Children's Work Shop series, GLCB never saw the light of day. The earliest reference to the game is in the 1983 Atari catalog "Your ticket to the Atari Stars" and was listed as coming out in the summer of '83. The only known copy surfaced at a flea market in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1996 along with a Snoopy and the Red Baron prototype. Stickers on the cart are dated April, 1984 so that game had obviously fallen behind schedule. How or why it ended up in Wisconsin is still a mystery.

  • The guy who owns the cartridge is obviously not interesed in the dump. What a shame a jewel of videogame history will be lost forever.

  • @Mae77 No, the game has been dumped and is absolutely safe. A limited run of repro carts is going to be sold by the owner in the near future. I think you can find more details on the AtariAge forums.

  • I have read information identifying this game as "Charlie Brown v. The Kite-Eating Tree."

  • @BadIdeaSociety I have read information identifying this game as "Fly a Kite Chuck Brown."

  • I like Snoopy and the Red Barron for the 2600. Use to play that for hours at a time until my thumb blistered up.
