This is my second day putting my knee down on my Hayabusa. Speed is about 100 km/h at touchdown and 120 km/h exiting the corner.

  • good effort!

how do you rate the busa next to kwak14 ?

as l am thinking of trading up from a 750 and fancy something l can tour on aswell as go for a blast on.

    cheers

  • The busa is faster than the 14, and has better handling. But, the 14 has a more upright riding position and is more comfortable on long rides. Both are very good bikes and both are very close in performance. I just personally like the busa's styling better than the 14.

  • @HooDudeTwo Bologna - need proof. My '14 spanks Busa's on a regular basis.

  • @lmind2

You need proof the '08 busa is faster than the '08 14? Look up the 1/4 mile and track times. But don't just take one test's word for it, look up several different reviews and see for yourself. The machine is faster, marginally.

You may well beat busa's on a regular basis on your 14, I don't deny that, but that has everything to do with the rider and nothing to do with the machines. I know a guy on a ducati monster 620 who can tool me off the line easily, he's just a better rider.

  • @HooDudeTwo So, in your second paragraph, you say "that has everything to do with the rider and nothing to do with the machines" and in your first paragraph, you say "Look up the 1/4 mile and track times". Need I say more?

  • @lmind2 Only if you don't want to look like a tool... 1/4 mile times and bike comparisons are often done using the same (usually professional) rider. I'm willing to bet that if you and one of these busas that you 'spanked' were to switch riders, you'd spank the 14 using the busa. But honestly, what does it matter? Why hate the busa? As long as you're out there on two wheels then it's all good right?

  • riding that low on an motorcyle is not safe. trying to make your knee to hit the ground is foolish.

  • I'd say its both. the bikes power and handling. plus the riders skill. I ride a(don't laugh) Kawi concours 14. I hit the dragon with it all the time and spank lots of riders on 650's. then some guy comes along with some 450 motard and crushes my ass on the first turn and I never see him again for the next 11 miles, LOL its both knowing your bike and your skills. its not that I'm an expert rider, its just that I know my bikes limits and mine! so I can use them more effectively.

  • @Imind2

You sir are dense as you are stubborn. He proved you wrong and instead of admitting defeat like a man and reconfiguring your brain to accept truth, you get all whiney and start bs nitpicking. The busa is faster than the 14, a real man can admit that even if they ride a 14. When I bought my gsxr1000 the guy with the busa told me that the 05 1000 is one of the only bikes out there that can beat the busa even with a few mods(up to about 150-170+) then the busa takes over.

  • so u must have steel knee caps lol

  • @benjimin44 its not the ride, its the rider ;)

  • @lmind2 : Maybe that's why it has better aerodynamics!
