  • Innes is the great unsung hero of popular music

  • I managed to get hold of all 14 episodes of RWT last year and I've watched them to death. I'm really glad this stuff is 'out there' (on YouTube, at least) so today's kids can at least get the chance to see this kind of priceless offbeat comedy and Neil's thoughtful songs. Whether or not the little scrotes appreciate it is another matter, but only a damned fool would think the Mighty Boosh and Little Britain are in any way superior to 'old school' surreal / wacky comedies like Python/Goodies/RWT.

  • @JRBwithME Socialism? Tony Bliar sold it. Apparently he got a good price for it. Now Britain's just the 51st State of Yankeedom.

  • He got 'washing machine' into a song long before Kate Bush!

  • holy shit this song is awesome!

  • This man wrote all of the songs for The Rutles in less than a week. A musical genius.

  • Brilliant man and so cute too. This song needs to be heard today. Everyone has so forgotten that things don't have to be like this. Where is socialism anymore?

  • just wonderful

  • Well, well, well, Check out Mr. Deadpan at :43.

  • OMG I rode my bicycle past Shoreditch on Friday and the traffic lights still don't work!! :D

Kyrastube and arsenic2arnica are so right, it's like better than the original that was never actually written. Discovering this old music is not a retrogressive act, it is a revolutionary act of discovery floating in a sea of conformity

  • been singing this song to myself all morning, as well as libido... how does he do that, write all these songs that just penetrates your brain and never leave?

but I rather have his songs stuck in my brain than your aviridge normal mtv-song.

and those eyes, like a little puppydog! aaaw

  • @TomRaymondUK You have? I've watched all of Season 1, the first episode of Season 2, and the Christmas special, but I couldn't find any more Season 2 episodes. Where did you find them?
