On August 1st around 0855 UT, Earth orbiting satellites detected a C3-class solar flare. The origin of the blast was sunspot 1092. At about the same time, an enormous magnetic filament stretching across the sun's northern hemisphere erupted. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded the action:

There are alot of nuclear reactors built on faultlines , for example Japan.....If you watched this video it was to inform of the posibility of solar flares that effect the earth in more then one way !!! for example there was a solar flare on March 10 2011 and I believe this was responsible for the earthquake in japan , as well as the aftershocks .This video was not saying it was the end of the world .... But the end of the world as we know it !!!!

A coronal mass ejection, while producing millions of tonnes of protons, is a very low energy event. They are no more energetic than the solar wind. A C-class flare is a tiddler of a flare. There is M class and X class above that. The large X-class flares are the high energy events.
