I think this happen before in history. King George III of England hired then mercenary army called Hessians. The Hessians were made up of mostly Germans. Their job was to aid the British army quell rebellion in its empire. The Hessian mercenaries were sent to Ireland in 1798 to crush the irish rebellion. I'm confused, what does Scahill not being an investigative journalist by title have to do with facts he has uncovered? Are you saying you have to work for one of the big monopolies of manufactured and processed data news outlets? He's an author, to author and write a book, you have to investigate, and literally anyone can be a journalist, just look at the above mentioned news outlets. Watch TV for a while, journalism is dead in the sense of what journalism used to mean. It's just opinion now.
