@sfgayatheist Irrelevant comment; a virus without a host is dead. Propositions are only pure speculation and pseudoscience ie. worthless opinion. The scientific method requires the direct observation, repeated testing of a testable repeating phenomenon for study, documentation and reproduction.

Chemistry is the interaction of the chemical elements which behave predictably by governed commands/instructions which can only come from a superior mind/being that designed and made them as such.

@sfgayatheist You cannot even define what a contradiction is. My faith is based on God's word which Real Science can only confirm when it catches up. Real Science is only possible in a world where a logical being created it with order. Real Science confirms that all that exists is intelligently design and irreducibly complex. It is so complex that Human, Insects, Animals and of course Mindless and Lifeless Chemical Elements that you worship cannot make a flea or a pea. All bio-mimicry flops.

Whereas, the Biblical claims are being confirmed by Archaeologists/Science ex. the first advent of Jesus foretold thousands of years in advance, the language of God in DNA.

@HISTRUTHBEKNOWN Not all biological life relies on DNA; some simple life forms (viruses) use only RNA for replication of genes. I'm also not proposing that the earliest life was a complex cell, but rather some simple self-replicating protein molecules governed purely by chemistry. I propose that life had very simple beginnings (basic chemistry) whereas you propose that an infinitely complex being popped into existence and then wished life to begin (magic).

@QueeqegF when creationists refer to evolution and thermodynamics they are referring to the misconception that life violates the 2nd law.. the problem arises when you don't take into account the fact that the 2nd law of thermodynamics only applies to closed systems. the earth is not a closed system. It is the sun that drives life and fuels the biological processes driving evolution.

@HISTRUTHBEKNOWN Nobody is proposing that the earliest life had anything like the ATP cycle as part of its function. Furthermore, science has established that abiogenisis is possible via several mechanisms. We will likely never know which mechanism took place on Earth, but it nonetheless happened or you would not be here.
