  • Wow! I wish i could have been there. i've never seen a loggerhead before. the remoras are really cool. I've been to belize 3 times and i've never seen anything as cool as that. Where you diving liveaboard or did you hire a boat or what?

  • We live aboard our boat and dive off a dinghy. We have our own compressor. There are 3 live-aboard boats that stay at Lighthouse Reef: The Agressor, Nekton Pilot and Sundancer.

  • Here's a fun fact: I learned on Reading Rainbow that these turtles look as if they are crying, because, you can tell by the markings on their eyes. But, they are not crying, the teary looks actually indicate that they are getting rid of excessive salt so they are able to see better.

  • I've been aboad the Sundancer twice and actually celebrated my birthaday on it. Now that you mention it, and i check my dive log, I've also been to lighthouse reef. It must be really sweet to own your own boat. Check out my video, Underwater Movie. It's nothing special, i filmed and edited on the boat and shot it with a rental camera but there's some nice footage in their and some pretty cool stills.
