Dieses Lied ist Teil der deutschen grossen Militärhymne. Ich bin gewiss NICHT nationalistisch. Aber die Deutschen haben eine sehr tiefe Religiösität bzw. Gottesfurcht, wenngleich auch Viele erst während oder nach dem Krieg glauben lernten. Aber besser spät als nie.

Dieses Lied ist einfach eines meiner Lieblingslieder.

alle in Sicherheit des Liedtextes gleich - und harmonisch ein geschlossenes

Bild abgeben. Außerdem sind es weit mehr als 3 leichte Verse....

@jjjjjjj001111 Thanks for your quick answer. The Original hymn has even 8 verses. In our assembly/church we chose only the real spirituial four. They are sung quite regularly acc. to the guidance of our LORD in our midst. If wanted, I could send you the textbook in english in turn. When weak, just read HIS WORD and take all HIS promisses as personally meant for you. Then thank HIM in your prayers as HIS little child - that pleases HIM and will result in growth of faith! And: HEcomes very soon!!

Great one. I am from south India. My church founders were from Hermannsburg. We have many hymns translated from German to my native language. I madly love german hymns. they always restore my faith when I am weak. But sadly my church lost rich german tradition and I am sad people are forgetting hymns.

This assemblychorus is one of the deepest expressions of true faith and resulting worship and honouring of the LORD JESUS, the manifestation of the love of the living God here on earth. The author Tersteegen surrendered his life aged 27 to the LORD with his own blood and became the most importend awakening preacher und scribe of the german reformed church. He went home to his saviour in 1769. The Lord is alone able to make gold out of dirt!!!
