I did the research and have a silver lab too. Newfoundlands and Chesapeake Bay retrievers have this gene as well. They are related to labradors.

silver labs are not natural i don kno how the hell they got some akc registered silver labs. how u explain then that on the UK, where are located some of the most reputable breeders worldwide there is no silver labrador around.
They were created with weimarer gfor include the blue gene, the blue gene does not exist on the REAL labradors. get over it. even that why should u care if they are pure breed or not? enjoy ur dog and shut up

I have a 2 year old silver male. AKC registered. Hes the best duck dog ive had and people with weimaraner are upset. Its not my fault you bought an ugly dog. Get real.

Its a Silver Lab, get over it people, have you all seen "Best in show" , because thats what you all act like with you dog snobbery. There are a lot of Silver Labs around, so unless there is a north american wide conspiracy to secretly breed labs with weimaraners then you may have to accept that there is a dog out there that you had never heard of.

These pups are not weimaraner mixed!! They are purebreds with papers! I breed them. "bluenightlabs" info is not correct they are a dilute jean from the chocolates! RESEARCH!!!!!!!!!!
