  • Do you have an exact recipe for the fish food made from BSFL and veggies? What are you doing with the fat you remove from the BSF?

  • Not note really, I just use whats at hand. I boil the larva after blending them. The fat will float a cool on top of the water and can be removed (for tilapia). They are then added with about 2/3 part veggie matter that has been blended. I add a pinch of sea salt and a hand full of brewers yeast. It is then dried in a dehydrator to make a flake food and fed slowly. Its not perfect, but its cheap. I need a binder of some type.

  • I am hard at it expanding my food production system. Next up is ethanol, a long term composting toilet, outdoor kitchen, outdoor Japanese bath, solar hot water, solar hydrogen generator, and passive straw solar structure. Its all going to take a very long time for me to complete. Food and energy for the car are first priority because everything else really is pretty optional.

  • Thank you for this awesome video - what great ideas and an inspiration! My thoughts have been similar. This was like a spiritual "sermon": I felt inspired and like I could truly relate.

  • Thank you! I wish you the best of luck on your walk!
