This video was taken on 8/8/2010 from my back yard with my Tak 130Toa telescope. It shows the Red storm and the baby red storm transit the disk and there is also a moon floating by.

  • Does the eyepiece view through your TOA-130 look like this??? If so, that is really amazing for a 5.1" optic.

  • @paul78703 - Hello, the Takahashi 130TOA has an even better view than I can show here. youtube compresses the video quite a bit. Also when looking though the telescope the view of jupiter looks alot like the hubble view only alot smaller. The clarity of a telescope like this is really nice for large bright objects like Jupiter.

  • @climbingastro - It's a bunch of 1-2 minute video captures processed through Registax for each frame of this sequence. It's possible it's one long capture that was later divided up into1-2 minute sequences to run through Registax. Judging by the amount of rotation (~180deg), it's about 4-1/2 hours worth of video capturing.

    It looks great btw.

  • Nice man!!!!

  • Nice work, a video every 5mn ?

  • Its spinning but the storm and winds look like they're spinning faster than the planet!

  • D= Jupiter is leaving Soon
