A short documentary by Kai-Duc Luong, shot on May 7 & 11, 2009, about Hartmarx's employees' fight to save their plant in Des Plaines IL, and keep their jobs.
Hartmarx, USA's largest manufacturer of menswear and President Barack Obama's custom suitmaker, under bankruptcy protection since January 2009, is being threatened to be liquidated by Wells Fargo Bank, the company's main creditor, despite Wells Fargo having received over 25 billion dollars of taxpayers money.
A sit-in vote was made unanimously by all 600 workers of Hartmarx Des Plaines, on May 11, 2009 if Wells Fargo decides to shut down the plant, layoff its 3500 employees nationwide.
