I hate to admit it, but you are absolutely right. Our ignorance will again be apparent when our next president is voted into office, whether it is Obama or McCain.

I haven't had a hero I've looked up to since Superman when I was 11. Thank you Ron Paul for your courage and strength.

btw~ What does "And I yield back the balance of my time." mean? I'm not sure..

He was given 60 minutes but took less time, so it can be used for another speaker. Thanks for posting this video, I have the text of the speech in his Foreign Policy of Freedom book but it's always great to watch the speech. If we get our nation back to freedom this will surely go down as one of the greatest speeches of all time.

It means that when a congressman is through speaking, the time that was alloted to him, say 15 minutes, and he only talks for 10 minutes, then his remaining 5 minutes will be used by someone else. It's a voluntary act, like yielding your bus seat to an elderly person.

this is not just about "neocons" its mostly about the deteriorating of our republic to a "democracy" that the liberals so would love to have. you can find quote after quote from historical scholars that a democracy would be the death of the US.

Don't paint this picture as one of "liberal" invasion of our government--neocons are neither liberal nor conservative; they are staunchly authoritarian. They are "liberal" in terms of federal government spending and government expansion, and "conservative" in terms of military spending, civil liberty violations and aggressive war policy.

Just vote Ron Paul people.

What is "conservative" about deficit spending to fund the military and involved in aggressive policies overseas? I don't ever remember thinking like this as a conservative. Ron Paul is the epitome of what a conservative is! Some just don't know it yet, faux "news" and that liberal Rupert Murdoch, have the once conservative people brainwashed. We must diligently educate and reason to bring them back to the fold.
