The song "Wishful Sinful" written by guitarrist Robby Krieger for the Doors' fourth album, The Soft Parade released in 1969. The song was not very popular among Doors fans who were so used to a more bluesier sound. In fact Jim Morrison was not very thrilled about this one, just like he wouldn't be thrilled with "Tell All the People" the same album's third single and yet another creation of Robby's imagination.

  • In my modest opinion and not saying that this is a true, I think Krieger was the best composer in the doors, sure not in lyrics, but in melody. What do you think?

Open those doors of perception says Leo Simmons.

  • @gorrionalvuelo i do think krieger was a great composer

  • yeah yeah he may be good at melodies. everybody in The Doors is simply awesome, exept Jim. he's a god

  • this song is pretty.

  • @iggypoprhcp plus some keyboard

  • @iggypoprhcp its the violin, or whatever the fuck they used.

  • @gorrionalvuelo Krieger made surely an excellent work, as a composer.. his music is never trivial, never predictable. Nowadays is very difficult to find such an artist

  • @iggypoprhcp And I forgot: also a lot of guitar strumming in the beginning of the song is missing.

  • @iggypoprhcp a whole set of strings is missing! doesn't sound half as impressive without them. Love this song though!

  • this seems to be a different version than i'm used to, i like it, where is it from?

  • No...whoever uploaded this is missing one of the speakers...that's what it is. I can hear it very faintly in the background...
