Actually, "I Need Someone" was written and first recorded by Lenny Welch on Cadence records (#1373) around 1960, perhaps five years or more before the Ambertones got around to it in 1965. Writer/publisher credits appear to be bogus on the DOTTIE release. Should be: Lenny Welch, Taurus Music, BMI.

I went to Roosevelt H.S. w. Danny Medina the leader of this group - I don't think they are the original writers of this song though. They were just on of many great groups back in the 60's when you could find a similar group like this on every block in E.L.A.
