This hour-long show (with a bit of a glitchy start) was presented in 2001 on a NYC series,"Jazz Corner," and featured The Elli Fordyce Quartet doing tunes from her studio CD, "Something Still Cool" (eventually released in 2008). The inimitable Harry Whitaker (RIP-http://www.harrywhitaker.com/about.html) was on piano that night with Mark Wade on bass (both of whom played on the CD), and Jerry Siegel played drums. Although normally a very receptive audience, that night many attendees were at the studio for a multiple-birthday celebration which had been pushed back to after the taping. At first, some had looks on their faces as if thinking, "Where's the cake?" but we won them over! Especially on the jazz-waltz version of "Love is Here to Stay" half way through, on which Harry really outdid himself! There's even an interview (excuse the audio glitch) edited into the middle of the show, which was actually taped afterwards. Program: Almost Like Being In Love, Desifinado, Dindi, I Thought About You, Don't Blame Me, Love is Here to Stay, Interview, Hey There, Something Cool (piano/vocal), Wouldn't it be Loverly, This Can't be Love.
