After the massive floods of Tropical Storm Irene took the previous covered bridge in August of 2011, Quechee decided to rebuild and make a bigger and better covered bridge. This is the dedication ceremony celebrating its grand re-opening with Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin and local dignitaries.

    Nice video. Great to see the village get back on its feet. Kevin Christie gave me one of my first jobs back when gas was $.50 a gallon. Well done everyone!

    I'm afraid in my rush to get this video produced, I failed to get Representative Kevin Christie' name correct. My sincere apologies. I wish there was an easy way to fix that in the video...
